About Us
Marian Hubbard Jefferson is the founder and Chair of Lift Every Voice Family and Community Development Project. She is an adult survivor of child rape and incest. In 2001 she received her Masters in Counseling and she is currently working toward a PhD in the field of Human Services. Marian has a wealth of experience with working with those suffering with severe and persistent mental illness, substance use and abuse, chronic homelesness and those victimized by sexual violence. This Project was founded on the sheer belief that until every voice is lifted against the crime of sexual violence; we will never eradicate it, neither from our hearts, our minds, nor our experiences. "We have all been touched by sexual violence. It's just that some of us don't know it yet. Lift your voice! Tell the secret! Break the cycle!"

Shawn Busari is Lift’s Administrative Assistant and Director of Development. Shawn comes to The Lift Project with an array of experience in the field of Human Services. She has an extensive background in Substance Abuse, Mental Health and Transitional Housing. Shawnbusari587@hotmail.com
Angela Freeman holds a Masters Degree in Social Work and specializes in adult and adolescent mental health recovery. She has worked on ACT and CSS teams as a Qualified Mental Health Professional and as Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist for persons diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness.
